thanks Jim tune in next week when we will hear about reducing the high cost of prescription drugs let's now join Lynn Clark of the Warner Historical Society this is the tenth year that the Warner Historical Society is presenting the Torrey Hill author series and what it is is we highlight nationally and locally known authors who will come and read from their works and also speak about their life experiences and then afterwards we all get a dessert reception and you get to meet and speak with the author and have books signed if you'd like it's very fitting that the Warner Historical Society hosts an author's speaking series because there's such a rich history of writers and artists from Warner the natural environment and small village atmosphere have inspired authors and artists since the 19th century right through to the present day a few of the authors featured at the very first series in 2010 included David Carroll of Warner David Elliott of Warner Maxine kumin nearby along with others from a little further away in New England you can read about all the authors we've featured over the years on our Tory Hill website which is Tory Hill authors series.com this year join us on for Saturday evenings in the summer at the Warner Town Hall at 7:00 p.m. where we'll get to hear from four very exciting authors including Diane Leigh baquette Andre do booths the third Peter Miller and John Porter our writers this year have penned thrillers novels that have been made into movies stunning works of documentary photography and the ultimate guide to preserving barns the dates are July 13th and 27 and August 10th and 24th this talk started 7:00 p.m. tickets are $10 each or four for $32 and they can be bought on our cite Tori Hill authors series.com or at Main Street bookends and if you want to buy the books at bookends or bookends we'll also have the books available the evenings the authors are there thanks Lynn if you love literature this seems like a great place to spend a Saturday night this summer
