I'm definitely intrigued! However, I have a hard time with how he described the goals. It sounds like there is no such thing as a happy story here. One person succeeds means everyone else suffers. I'm not sure I want to play a game where the dad writes a great book (and hey, maybe the wife sells some great art too) but the marriage falls apart and the child has nightmares for the rest of his life because his parents have a fight and left on bad terms. Doesn't sound like something I want to be responsible for. Conversely, I don't want to be the reason he and his son get along, but his career is ruined by a bad book. I'd need assurances that overall positive results are possible.
This seems amazing, and I'm thankful for the demo, but I'll be damned if I wasn't waiting the whole time for him to get caught and cause a mass panic in the house.
This looks truly inspired. I've watched both videos provided on Steam Greenlight and you've definitely got my vote. I'll be playing this either way though 😀
Actually, about that Shining comment, what if that was an option? You can make positive OR negative descisions to help the family, OR scare the family. Maybe it could be a bonus mode, an unlockable, or just there from the start. I'm just spitballing ideas here. It could add replayability or attract different people.
Also I'm having trouble reading the text above their heads. Its too small and blends. Try adding a contrast color as an outline to the text.
It's easy to destroy and ruin, but difficult to rebuild and create. There would be hardly any challenge and it goes against everything the game is about.

How long is the full game? 4-5 hours or more? 'Cause it's looks interesting, but I don't want to spend 15 Euro for a pretty small game
What is this Haunting Starring Polterguy?
Am I the only one who would do everything in my power to scare the family out of the house?
Wow looks interesting, getting it on steam tomorrow!
Pre-ordered it. Eagerly awaiting the release.
I would definitely buy it if it's released on Linux
Looks amazing, can't wait.
What kind of shotguns can you get in it?

it has already benn greenlit 🙂
THis game looks really interesting definitely a day one buy. Hope he doesn't go ape shit and cancel for feeding the trolls.

i want to know what happens if they see you
The idea behind all of this is just amazing, I'm definitely buying it.
So whats the purpose of the game, to make it work between people living in the house? No screaming or scaring? Seems lame..
Is there a downloadable demo for this? Have Googled but can't find one.
If you need to upgrade your pc for this game, it must have been built about 10 years ago or something.
Well, I saw the option to make lights flicker, e.t.c, so maybe that's a thing.
PC, Mac
I don't think you need a powerful PC to run this
Yah, the scaling seems off to me as well.
This is excellently different. Love the feel of the game.
Is it just me or do the characters seem pretty tiny? o.O look at them in comparison to the doors

I see dead people…
for some reason this remind me of xiii for ps2
as a novelist, this sounds like my life…minus the big house and a ghost who helps me…kindof depressing
Looks like utter gash.
Very creative. Seems like a fresh new game rather than the same old same old.
Pirate Cove….any fellow creepypasta fans here?
All jokes aside, I'm suddenly really liking this game.
well indie titles usually aint so demanding that you need to upgrade. Its the whole point.
intriguing concept nice idea
I wish stuff like this would come out on one of the consoles. Can't afford to keep upgrading a PC
I like unique games like this. Games like The Walking Dead, Journey, Flower, Thomas was Alone and many others.
I'd pay money for it. Breath of fresh air compared to all the FPS shit that gets churned out every year.
pretty interesting. yeah i can see an awesome story and emotional build in it
I love everything out of the ordinary. Go for it! Fingers crossed 🙂
looks like Geist
Ndebele
Looks kinda cool. Intrigued.
What happens of someone sees you? Game over?

To an extent yes. Beyond looks much more condensed since it revolves around a single character.
Fresh. Can't wait to try this out.
