The Hobbit Misty Mountains Cold Full Scene (with lyrics)

Far over the Misty Mountains Cold To dungeons deep And caverns old We must away Ere break of day To find our long forgotten gold The pines were roaring on the Heights The winds were moaning in the night The fire was red! It flaming spread! The trees like torches Blazed with light

  1. This song is so amazing, and the way Richard and the rest of the group delivers it is just so beautiful.

  2. I loved this scene, and I loved the way they sang the song, I refuse to love any other version other than this one. :,D

  3. Sígoura móno lígoi ánthro̱poi xéroun ti̱n énnoia af̱toú tou tragoudioú (I bet only a few people know the meaning of this song)

  4. This song makes my eyes tear. I saw the movie with my roomies, but not in the theatres, rather, at home. It's such a moving, perfectly executed scene. Truly a masterpiece. I wanted to hear it again, so I found it on youtube right after I woke up.

  5. This movie reminded me too much of Dragon Age. Everything was soo much like the dwarves of Orzamar. Everything. Who copied who?

  6. seeing the was made folowing the book and the book came out in the late 30s id say dragon age copied from the Hobbit/LoTR

  7. "…Then something Tookish woke up inside him, and he wished to go and see the great mountains, and hear the pine-trees and the waterfalls, and explore the cave, and wear a sword instead of a walking-stick."

  8. Robert E. Howard published the first Conan in 1932. Tolkien with the Hobbit in 1937. So if your going by dates alone, then I guess Howard came first

  9. Far over the misty mountains cold, to dungeons deep and caverns old, we must away ere break of day, to seek the pale enchanted gold. The dwarves of yore made mighty spells, while hammers fell like ringing bells, In places deep where dark things sleep, In the hollow halls beneath the fells. For ancient kind and elvish lord, there many a gleaming hoard, they shaped and wrought, and light they caught, to hide in gems on hilt of sword. ~ The hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. wish I could post the rest.

  10. I also love the look on Thorin's face after Bilbo answers him. THorin looks like…."Well crap, I didn't see that one coming".

  11. Been looking for the FULL version everywhere on youtube. Thank you for just posting this without the Trailer soundtrack included!

  12. After owning the movie for about 4 months, I finally watched it and this song is amazing! I'm sure I messed my DVD up from rewinding it so many times lol. Absolutely love this song and the movie.

  13. I have loved these stories since I was 8 years old…Wow that was 21 years ago….I still have the book too its the golden hardback "The Hobbit"

  14. I dont understand how people can hate on these movies. So you like LOTR more, fair enough. But these movies have their own appeal and charm. I played this on DVD and my 2 nephews just sat there for the entire movie without making a sound, that never really happens. lol

  15. What they need to do is make movies about Aragon cause he lives to be 210 so they can make three movies about him

  16. Far over the Misty Mountains cold
To dungeons deep and caverns old
We must away ere break of day
To find our long forgotten gold

The pines were roaring on the height
The winds were moaning in the night
The fire was red, it flaming spread
The trees like torches blazed with light

  17. The first one wasn't bad. I remember being taken with the cinematography especially, and this song is so brilliant. It's disappointing how much needed to be made up on the spot to make two more movies.

  18. It's been many years since I read the book but it seems like they're singing about events that happen later in the movie. "To dungeons deep we must away ere to find our gold" is what the rest of the movie is about, and "the pines were roaring on the height, the fire was red" seems to describe the scene at the end of the (first) movie where they're surrounded by Wargs, climb up into the pine trees and then start throwing down flaming pine cones.

  19. I would love them to have done the whole song with the instruments. Dwarves got shortchanged in their own movies.

  20. I wish it was longer but, at the same time, I'm glad it's not. It seems too short & perfect at the same time & any longer would actually not make it any better. Great song from a great movie

  21. while some disagree, i have to say that all three hobbit movies are masterpieces and i will continue to joy them throughout my years
