Reply I'm not from the south, but i never heard the term."chop cotton" before…Tammy was a great country singer… Reply GEORGE AND TAMMY WERE THE IDEAL COUPLE…..WHY DID GEORGE HAVE TO DRINK AND WHATEVER ELSE. HE WAS ANDIS AND WILL BE THE NUMBER ONE FIRST CLASS COUNTRY WESTERN SINGLE OF HIS TIME. BOTH WERE GREAT. Reply A once in a lifetime voice that carried so much passion with every lyric. Reply It is so sad that Dottie West and Tammy Wynette passed away in the same decade. I feel they both left us too soon. Reply Famous duets Reply 15:35 Wonder where did this beautiful melody come from?? Reply tammy loved george jones amen Reply tammy an george together gosh how good amen Reply tammys greatest 1st hit i dont want to play house amen Reply I LOVED seeing Tammy at Twin Towns (Aus) in 1985/6. My Dad (Buddy Williams) was at show. It was a lovely evening Reply Her first true love was the great George Jones legendary Country Singer who she was with for six Years. Reply Tammy Wynette…class, kindness, perserverance, talent, beauty, and humbleness. A true STAR…the FIRST LADY of country. Reply I was raised in the same area as Tammy was. Even though she had already established herself as a country singer, I still considered her a fellow Mississippian!! Reply I'm only 32 but Tammy's music has always struck a chord with me. Till I Can Make It On My Own helped me when my first serious relationship ended. Reply Lovely Reply I have loved Tammy since I was hell I can't even remember how old I was! I guess I just grew up with her music.I will always love her! Reply great women Reply Best in country music history. Reply She sang at a free, outdoor concert in my city just a couple of years before her death. My wife and I stood in the front row. It was a chilly November afternoon and she showed up with no jacket. As soon as she took the stage, she remarked "It's a bit more chilly than I planned for." I quickly took off my jacket and handed it up to her, which she wore for the entire performance. Needless to say, I'll be keeping that jacket forever. Reply I love the song "Justified and Ancient". I learned about Tammy by researching KLF and I was curious about her. She was quite a person! Gone too soon! Very good biography, thanks for posting. Reply THAT SONG STAND BY YOUR MAN,,It helped me alot,,,no matter,,she's was wonderful,,,,,, Reply Wow, I never knew anything about her quite a lady! Reply How Hot is Tammy at 28:50? You go girl!!!!
