  1. Just listen to this beautiful song and compare it to the incomprehensible crap that passing as music today.

  2. i just saw that she had passed…very sorry may she rest in peace….i just to have her cassette and now a LP …heard the song poetry man….had been out of my mind…but thanks and Phebe see you there some day , not far away

  3. Sometimes I am just amazed at how well produced some classics truly are….Back in the day, AM radio did not do these songs justice

  4. Thanks for the memories this song invokes. I was going on 21 when this came out, having just moved to Los Angeles. Life was all ahead of me then. Now I look back more than forward.

  5. The longest wavelength is the key of A. What makes 70’s music so gorgeous is that notes were lengthened such that fractals of emotion are able to embed in the longest waves. Like the left ventricle of the heart.

Music nowadays is in-capacious to embed and hold the longest wavelengths in order to carry genuine timeless love.

  6. You make me laugh
'Cause your eyes they light the night
They look right through me, la, la, la
    You bashful boy
    You're hiding something sweet
Please give it to me, yeah, to me, ya
    To me
Ooh, oh, talk to me some more
    You don't have to go
    You're the Poetry Man
You make things all right, ya, ya

    Ooooo, ya, ya, ya, ya
    Ooooo, ya
    You are a genie
And all I ask for is your smile
Each time I rub the lamp, la, la, la
    When I am with you
    I have a giggling teen-age crush
Then I'm a sultry vamp, ya, ya
    Talk to me some more
    You don't have to go
    You're the Poetry Man
You make things all right, ya, ya

    Oooooh, ya, ya, ya
    Oooooh, ya

    [Musical Interlude]

    Talk to me some more
    You don't have to go
    You're the Poetry Man
    You make things all right
    Ooooo, ya, ya, ya, ya
    Ooooo, ya

    So once again
It's time to say so long
And so recall the call of life, la, la, la
    You're going home now
Home's that place somewhere you go each day
To see your wife, ya, ya, ya
    To see your wife
    Wooo, oooh

    Talk to me some more
    You don't have to go
    You're the Poetry Man
You make things all right, ya
    Wooo, oooh

    Talk to me some more
    You don't have to go
    You're the Poetry Man
    You make things all right
