My Favorite Authors!

  1. Rick Riordan, J.K. Rowling, Christen Feehan, Lynsay Sands, L. L. Foster are the few I can think of off the top of my head.

  2. I just recently subscribed to your channel. I like everything. I am thinking about doing a booktube channel myself but I completely feel out of my league. Unlike most booktubers that read a lot and are mostly in their twenties, I write a lot and am much older and I am not quite sure how an author would create a channel. Do you have any advise?

  3. I have a lot of favourite authors but the one that stands out the most and the one that changed my life and that I love is James Patterson.

  4. I finished reading Dark Places by Gillian Flynn last night and couldn't sleep, it seriously creeped my out, great book though!

  5. Some of my auto-buy authors are J.K. Rowling (though I have yet to read her adult novels) John Green, Holly Black, Laini Taylor (you need to finish the trilogy!) Michelle Hodkin, George R.R. Martin, and Alison Croggon 🙂

  6. Okay, here goes mine:

    1. Brandon Sanderson.
    2. Scott Westerfeld.
    3. Tad Williams.
    4. Arturo Pérez-Reverte.
    5. Guy Gavriel Kay.
    6. Clive Barker.
    7. Brent Weeks.
    8. Peter F. Hamilton.
    9. Daniel Abraham (including his James S.A. Corey books).
    10. Philip Pullman.
    11. Stephen Erikson.
    12. K.J. Parker (well… I believe he/she is still alive, since we know nothing about who he/she is).
    13. China Miéville.

And well, this is just going by authors who are still alive and can release new books I can autobuy without thinking twice. So J.R.R. Tolkien, Frank Herbert, Robert Jordan, David Gemmell, Ray Bradbury and the recently departed Terry Pratchett, whom I miss terrible and still haven't gotten over… seriously, if I were capable of crying (which I'm not, believe me) I would've when I heard the news of his passing and am still trying to get out of the reading slump his death left me in.

Oh well, those are my top autobuy authors. Yay xD

  7. My auto buys are a few of yours (like J.K. Rowling), plus Stephen King, Josiah Bancroft, Cassandra Clare, and a few others I can't think of right now.

  8. Have you read To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han? I'm so excited for the sequel to come out!

  9. Hey,can you please tell me what you thought about Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard? If I remember correctly, you were reading it and I am so curious to know what you think about the book. 🙂

  10. Tahereh Mafi is my top auto buy author! I was really surprised that she was one of yours too. Then there's Cassandra Clare, Nicolas Dickner, and Jenny Han. By the way, did you know that JK Rowling continues to write books, only she's using the name Robert Galbraith?!

  11. Maggie Stiefvater is an auto buy author for me! I just read The Raven cycle like two weeks ago and I flew through them. I really love her character development and the world she created is fantastic, I'm so in love 😁

  12. I love these!  Mine are Stephen King, Joe Hill, Rainbow Rowell, Neil Gaiman, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Toni Morrison, John Green, Carol Rifka Brunt, Gillian Flynn, Lisa Gardner… I feel like I'm missing someone.

  13. Gillian Flynn went to my university! Her older stuff is so so good you should read some of them! I just bought the Misborn trilogy because of you're ravings about it, cannot wait to read it! One of my auto buy authors is Liane Moriarty!

  14. Gillian Flynn's Sharp Objects (her first book) is SO good – I enjoyed it better than Gone Girl, so I'd definitely recommend it. Also, Looking for Alibrandi by Melina Marchetta is amazing. (It's the only book I've read by her, which is ridiculous because I'm Australian.)

I also bought a couple of Chima's books while I was in the US because I know how much you love her – looking forward to getting to them!

  15. At this point, my auto-buy authors would be Marisha Pessl, Michael J. Sullivan, and George R. R. Martin. I'd also include the throne of glass series since I'm already invested in it. ^_^

  16. If you like contemporaries that have a bit of a deeper meaning, you should check out Faking Normal by Courtney C. Stevens. Amazing book (:

  17. Cassandra Clare, Rick Riordan, Alexandra Bracken, Marie Lu, Sara J. Maas (of course), Laini Taylor. Plenty of others. I can't think of them all right now. I'm not by my books.

  18. Amazing books, gurl
My auto buy authors are Bernard Cornwell, Patrick Rothfuss and Eduardo Spohr, this last one is a Brazilian author, so you probably make no ideia of who he is but….. his books are incredibly amazing, seriously!

  19. You should check out Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. It is pretty amazing! Two of my auto buy authors are Neil Gaiman and Cat Winters.
