Iowa man sentenced for burning LGBTQ children’s books


IT’S A 65-DOLLAR FINE FOR A MAN WHO LIVE-STREAMED A VIDEO OF HIMSELF BURNING L-G-B-T-Q CHILDREN’S BOOKS. LAST FALL, 63 YEAR-OLD PAUL DORR POSTED A VIDEO ON FACEBOOK OF HIM DESTROYING THE BOOKS HE CHECKED OUT OF THE ORANGE CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY.HE WAS CHARGED WITH CRIMINAL MISCHIEF. DORR HAD FOUGHT TO HAVE THE CHARGE DISMISSED, SAYING HE WAS SINGLED OUT FOR PROSECUTION BECAUSE OF HIS ANTI-GAY MESSAGE. A JUDGE REJECTED HIS ARGUMENT AND TODAY DORR WAS CONVICTED AND MUST PAY A FINE AND COURT COSTS. IT’S NEARLY SIX YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON FOR ONE
