How to Buy Audible Books on iPhone or iPad

Hi. I’m Max Dalton, and in this video I’m going
to walk through how you can buy Audible audiobooks on your Apple iPhone or iPad. It can be incredibly confusing when you search
for a book you want in the Audible app for iPhone or iPad, and there’s no way to purchase
it. This is because you can’t purchase audiobooks
in the Audible app. You can, however, navigate to the Amazon website
in the Safari browser and purchase audiobooks through there. And now, let’s walk through how to purchase
Audible audiobooks in the Safari browser on your iPhone or iPad. Step 1. Launch “Safari” or any other Web browser on
your Apple iPhone or iPad, and then navigate to Step 2. Tap “Sign In” in the upper right corner of
the Amazon home screen if you aren’t signed in to your Amazon account by default. You’ll arrive at a Sign In screen. Enter the username and password associated
with your account, and then tap the orange “Sign In” button. You’ll be returned to the Amazon home screen,
where you’ll be signed in to your account. Step 3. Tap “Departments” in the menu row that appears
directly beneath the search bar. The Departments screen appears. Step 4. Scroll down the screen until you see Books. Tap “Books.” A drop-down menu appears beneath Books. Step 5. Tap “Audible Audiobooks” in the list of options
that appear in the drop-down menu. The Audible Audiobooks screen appears. Step 6. Type the name of the book you’re looking for
in the search bar that appears toward the top of the Audible Audiobooks screen, and
then tap the yellow icon to the right of the search bar that looks like a magnifying glass. A list of search results appears. Step 7. Tap the name of the audio book that appears
in the search results that you want to buy. An information screen for that audio book
appears. Step 8. Scroll down directly beneath the book and
select either Buy with 1 Credit or Buy with 1 Click. In this example, I’ll choose to buy this audio
book with one credit, and will then tap “Buy Now with 1 Credit.” You’ll be taken to a Start Listening Now page,
confirming that you’ve successfully purchased your desired Audible audiobook. From here, you can download and listen to
the audiobook you just purchased through the Audible native app, which is available for
free through the Apple App Store. Congratulations! You now know how to purchase Audible audiobooks
through the Safari Web browser on your Apple iPhone or iPad. Thanks for watching. Click the video link on the right side of
the screen to check out another video. Click the logo on the left side of the screen

  1. Why is this so complicated?!! Thanks for sorting this out for me! Neither the Amazon app or Audible app actually let you purchase. Crazy that you should have to do this in Safari!

  2. WTF!!! This is too [email protected] much! Ive tried figuring out how this App works for months! THANK You for explaining it, but Audible has to make this simpler. The App is so complicated it is basically broken.

  3. Mine says not supported. I have 10 other books, why can’t I buy one this way this time. Any book?

  4. It's unbelievable… The Android app is excellent. Such a shame Apple have done this to ios users! 🤷🏼‍♂️

  5. Like everyone else has said… THANK YOU, I’ve muddled through downloading books before but can’t ever remember how to do it. Not in the least intuitive. Thanks again!

  6. Thanks, this is such a good tip. There’s nothing on the Audible site or Amazon teach us how to listen to the book we purchased! So dumb.

  7. Very nice explanation of how to buy audible books on amazon, it's bad business how comes amazon haven't fixed this issue and confusion. Thanks for the video pal!

  8. Wait wait what the heck are credits do i have to buy those cause on literally every ad i’ve ever seen for audible says its completely free..

  9. Why does this require so many steps and is so complicated? It’s ridiculous- I can’t follow the instructions in this clip!! Jumping back and forwards between apps. What the point of the audible app if u can’t buy? How hard can it be to make an audio app that you can purchase directly. I give up. What’s stopping audible from moving to a Netflix model. I’d pay a monthly subscription for all you can read

  10. Thanks for clarifying that you have to go through Safari to purchase.. so dumb you can’t go direct through Amazon Prime Ap or Audible… I thought I was stupid, glad I’m not the only one finding it confusing!

  11. It’s a lot easier if you just go onto the audible website on google and buy the books there, then it will download it straight onto your audible app

  12. How much business does audible lose because of how complicated this is. I sent an invite to audible to my mother and she was like sorry, way too complicated for me. Crazy

  13. When I had my android phone, I could purchase in app and the audible app was easy to perform in all functions eg purchase, listen, edit payment methods, storage locations.. Switching to iPhone was a big mistake that will not happen again. Apple has chosen the losing path and is showing in their recent losses.

  14. Mine says that I only have the option of adding to wishlist . I’m a prime member and signed up for two free books although maybe past the one month time period
