Book Unboxing Episode 5 | NEXT LEVEL BASIC, I MISS YOU WHEN I BLINK, STAY UP WITH HUGO BEST

– You ready? (upbeat music) Hey guys, my name is Maddie, and this week I am unboxing
three new April 2019 releases that I am so excited
to share with you from Simon & Schuster. So, without further
ado, let’s get started. I am so excited about this book, and I think everyone should
be excited about this book because who doesn’t wanna
be next level basic? Next Level Basic,
by Stassi Schroeder. Who doesn’t love
Vanderpump Rules? Who doesn’t love
their millennial pink or their lattes or their pugs
or their outfit of the day? Whatever it is, whatever
your hashtag is, own it and be next level basic. I like lattes, and I will
never stop loving lattes, and if that makes me
basic, then that’s fine. So we also have two more books. I don’t have full boxes to unbox with you guys for this week, unfortunately, for these books, but I am so excited
that I still at least have a copy of each
to share with you. So the first one is I
Miss You When I Blink by Mary Laura Philpott. This is actually a memoir, and
it’s a collection of essays by Mary Laura Philpott,
and it talks about how she did everything she was
supposed to do in life. She went through
life’s checklist. She had the house,
the job, the kids, everything that you’re
expected to have and like and want and
fulfill your life, and then she realized
that that was it. She was like, what am
I supposed to do now? How do you grow
beyond those things that you thought you needed? We have several
little interviews with
Mary Laura Philpott. If you wanna check out
any of that content, feel free to click on the
links in the description below. The last book that I
have with you guys. This book is Stay Up with
Hugo Best by Erin Somers. So it follows the
main character, June, and she is a 29-year-old
writer’s assistant. She works on this
late-night comedy show called Stay Up with Hugo Best, and Hugo Best is the
host of the show. He’s in his 60s, and when
the show gets canceled, he invites everyone to his
mansion for a weekend getaway, and Hugo and June meet in
a completely new context, and they’re both at a
point in their careers where anything could happen, so definitely pick up a copy
of Stay Up with Hugo Best. Thanks for watching once again. This has been an unboxing video. My name is Maddie. These are the books I’m so
excited about this April. Definitely go pick
up a copy of them, and don’t forget to like,
subscribe, and comment below. I need to go get lattes. (upbeat music)
