Moving on After Garito with Thoughts of Wonder & Expectation

Dear Friends and Supporters,

When I arrived at Garito Manor I was met by a number of senior individuals living in despair, many writing in isolation. Imagine my delight when a number of these individuals joined our poetry and creative writing workshop. Individuals who later described it as a life saving and transformative experience. I am delighted by their individual growth and transformation.

After nearly two and half years of facilitating poetry and creative writing workshops, featured poetry readings and open mics at Garito Manor I have decided it is time for Poets Network & Exchange to move on. I have laid a solid foundation and it’s time for me to welcome new opportunities, explore personal interests and to complete a number of projects.

Under my leadership Poets Network & Exchange shared a high standard of quality programming. Programming providing opportunities for Garito Manor residents and the surrounding New Rocjelle community. Poets Network & Exchange appreciates and thanks all of the participating poets and writers who travelled to Garito manor and participated in Poets Network & Exchange programming. We leave a solid foundation and history we are proud of.

Teachers are responsible for the sharing of and imparting of knowledge. We then step back and allow our students to find their wings.

I wish everyone success in all their collective and individual endeavors.
