I had the joy of participating in an online, onair reading hosted by Poet Andrew Scott and a number of talented poets, writers and lovers of the written word. The program took place this evening Sunday January 20, 2013. The concept of the program is for callers to share the works of favorite poets and writers. Included in these are lyrics from songs, favorite quotes etc. Andrew follows each reading with an informal interview/conversation. The program has a warm, friendly and welcoming vibe. If you enjoy poetry and all things literary, you will enjoy On-Line Classic Open Mic Poetry.
Who did I read? I read Dr. Leah Gaskin Fitchue’s poem ” Men Who Have Loved Me” from her collection of poems Nefertiti‘s Soul published in 1978. It’s a remarkable collection of poems. I also shared information on upcoming events produced by Poets Network & Exchange: Soul Stirrings featuring Poet Robert Gibbons February 9, 2013 and Poet and Co-founder of Women Writers in Bloom Poetry Salon
Juliet P. Howard March 16, 2013 featured Poet for Women’s Herstory Month at Garito Manor in New Rochelle, NY.
You can listen to On-Line Classic Open Mic Poetry on Sunday evenings at 7:00PM EST at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/re-verse/2013/01/21/re-verse-classic-poetry-open-mic
